Nicholas Ward

 

Nicholas  studied painting at Treforest college of art where he was taught by Brendan Stuart Burns after completing his foundation studies he then  enrolled at Manchester Metropolitan University where he studied for three years, completing his BA Honours Degree in 1998.

 

 

He then moved back to South Wales to concentrate on landscape painting, Nicholas  has always been inspired by the landscapes in Wales, his inspiration is fuelled by his long walks and constant need to be outside in nature. His paintings are constantly evolving ,and always striving to create a sense of place and time. He chooses places to paint that may be overlooked by some and yet  his choice of obscure and less obvious compositions make his work stand out from many other landscape painters.
